Former HP Marketing Executive Joins Electric Cloud as VP of Marketing

Kalyan Ramanathan to Head Marketing Efforts as Electric Cloud Leads Software Development on the Cloud

Sunnyvale, Calif. — April 21, 2011 Electric Cloud, the private development cloud company, today announced that it has appointed Kalyan Ramanathan as vice president of marketing. Ramanathan brings 20 years of experience in software development and marketing to the Electric Cloud team. He will lead Electric Cloud's marketing initiatives and drive growth as the company continues its expansion in the cloud computing space.

Ramanathan most recently served as senior director of product marketing for HP, where he oversaw marketing efforts for HP Business Services Management and the HP cloud management solution. Previously, as director of marketing for Opsware (acquired by HP in 2007), Kalyan was instrumental in achieving significant revenue growth for Opsware's flagship Server Automation System. Prior to Opsware, Kalyan led product marketing and product management functions at Collation (acquired by IBM) and Portal Software. Kalyan has an MBA from Stanford University.
